For the Diskus inhaler, the dose counter will turn red once 5 doses are left.
For the Ellipta inhaler, the left half of the dose window will turn red with 10 doses left. After the last dose is inhaled, the counter will show a full red background.
For Pulmicort and Bricanyl turbuhalers: A red mark appears in the window underneath the mouthpiece when the inhaler has 20 doses remaining. When the red mark reaches the bottom of the turbuhaler the device is empty.
For the Symbicort and Oxeze turbuhalers, every 20th increment dose is marked with a number and every 10th increment dose is marked with a dash/dot. The inhaler is empty once a zero is in the middle of the dose window with a full red background.
